Pay Range: $38.20 - $57.30

Position: Facilities Supervisor

Location: Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte, NC

Specific Responsibility: Focus areas include Carolina Rehab and Behavioral Health in Charlotte. Full time; 1st shift. Monday-Friday: 7am-4:30pm.

Major Responsibilities

  • Oversees general department operations, establishes work schedules, assigns daily work, and responds to service requests. Identifies and addresses safety issues.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, local regulatory and accrediting standards for facilities operations.
  • Coordinates construction projects: communicates scheduled utility interruptions, reviews specifications and blueprints, inspects installations, and ensures contractual provisions and schedules meet standards.
  • Ensures timely scheduling and completion of inspections, testing and maintenance for facilities-maintained equipment using the Computerized Maintenance Management System and related tools.
  • Reviews and ensures inspection, testing and maintenance records are properly recorded in appropriate systems.
  • Acts as a resource on complex maintenance issues and provides technical support to architects, engineers, and consultants. Directs outside contractors on critical utility and infrastructure systems.
  • Reviews teammate performance and customer satisfaction feedback to ensure expectations are met.
  • Performs human resources responsibilities for staff, including coaching on performance, completing performance reviews, engagement, and recommending hiring, compensation changes, promotions, corrective action, and terminations.
  • Provides input into needed tools, education, or other support to ensure high team engagement and performance.
  • Provide primary site facilities leadership when other leadership is not present or available.

Qualifications

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

  • Valid Driver’s License.

Education Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

Experience Required:

  • 2 years healthcare facilities experience or 4 years facilities or property maintenance experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Ability to work with minimal oversight with advanced technical skills in facility maintenance.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced computer skills/competency in using and operating systems such as Microsoft Office, Building Automation Systems, Pneumatic Tube Systems, and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Clear understanding of applicable compliance codes and guidelines.
  • Clear understanding of multiple trades and systems and how they interconnect to support the location.
  • Comfortable with providing in-person engagement with patients, families, and staff to address concerns.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Primary work performed within a typical office environment. Must be mobile within all buildings, floors, and grounds of the system facilities. Prolonged sitting/desk work.

Preferred Job Requirements

Preferred Certification/License/Registration

  • Trade school certificate.

Preferred Experience

  • 3 years healthcare facilities experience or 5 years facilities or property maintenance experience with lead or senior level experience.
