We are collaborating with an innovative semiconductor company specializing in the design and production of ultra-high-speed integrated photonic chips based on InP technology. These will be essential for next generation telecom and datacom infrastructures.
As a Fabrication Manager you will play a critical role in ensuring resources, logistics and production activities are fully aligned with R&D objectives. This is a newly created role and will allow scope to shape operational strategy, build processes and influence the future direction of the facility, including moving to the new site with a cleanroom 2x as large as the existing cleanroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day fab operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable production activities.
- Align fab resources, logistics, equipment usage, and production planning with evolving R&D priorities.
- Develop and implement operational processes, procedures, and best practices to optimise performance and scalability.
- Make operational and strategic decisions to improve productivity, workflow efficiency, and facility utilisation.
- Work closely with R&D, engineering, and leadership teams to support technology development and delivery objectives.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing semiconductor, quantum, photonics, advanced manufacturing, cleanroom, or high-tech fabrication environments.
- Strong operational leadership experience with the ability to balance production priorities alongside R&D requirements.
- Background in R&D, engineering, or technical development environments highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of health & safety, quality systems, and operational best practices within a technical facility.
- Must be fluent in French.
