Export Control Projects & Solutions Manager (M/F) – Role Overview
Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking an Export Control Projects & Solutions Manager to drive complex export control projects and lead the development of digital business applications that embed compliance into the company’s integrity culture. The role reports to the Head Office Export Control Policies, Community and Performance team and is based in Toulouse, France.
Responsibilities
- Governance & Compliance Oversight
- Ensure compliance for transport and logistics providers, coordinate supply‑chain actions, and negotiate export control procurement clauses.
- Conduct due diligence and site visits to identify red‑flags and assess the impact of external supplier rebranding on U.S. Export Control licenses.
- Assess and manage impacts of supplier rebranding (e.g., BBA/KLN) on Airbus export licences and declarations required by U.S. Export Control authorities.
- Support the development and deployment of Airbus Commercial Transport and Logistic applications.
- Solution Management & Digital Development
- Act as lead for the Global Export Control System (GECS) programme, developing export control business applications across divisions.
- Formalise business requirements for target digital solutions.
- Oversee a technical team collaborating with stakeholders to establish data security, processes and appropriate technology use.
- Manage the full product lifecycle from design to retirement.
- Maintain Service Level Agreements and report on Key Performance Indicators for digital solutions.
Qualifications
- Educational Background : Bachelor’s degree in information security, computer science, information management systems, or related field.
- Professional Experience : 7+ years of progressive IT experience, including people‑management of technical teams.
- Technical Expertise : Proven track record in Agile/Scrum (SAFe) and lean processes; certifications such as PMP, PM Bronze or SAFe Programme Consultant.
- IT Management : Expertise in Software Requirement and Change Management, Product Lifecycle Management, and IT/Business strategy alignment.
- Export Control Knowledge : 3–5 years in Export Controls, dual‑use software, and technical data transfers in multi‑national environments; deep understanding of ITAR/EAR requirements.
- Functional Knowledge : Key functions including Procurement, Transport & Logistics, Engineering, and Customs.
- Strong capability to simplify complex legal or technical requirements for broad stakeholder groups.
- Excellent communication skills, able to convey compliance importance to digital and logistics teams without stifling operational efficiency.
- High integrity, attention to detail, proactive mindset for identifying digital/regulatory trends (e.g., AI impact).
- Negotiation skills in English; proficiency in French, Spanish or German is a plus.
