Export Control Investigator (m/f)
Location: Toulouse, France.
From the legal and compliance department, the Export Control Investigations team oversees investigation of potential export control violations across Airbus group operations, products, and programs. The role strengthens Airbus’ ability to investigate allegations and prepare disclosures to the U.S. DDTC, BIS and other export authorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and coordinate export-control investigations, including planning and conducting thorough investigations of alerts and implementing remedial measures.
- Identify facts, breached regulations, root causes and recommend corrective actions to address compliance gaps.
- Manage outside legal counsel and draft disclosures and investigation reports for government authorities.
- Prepare internal reports and deliver presentations on trends, KPIs and relevant topics.
- Collaborate with the Export Control function, Program Office and other departments to improve compliance programs and prevent recurrence of violations.
- Ensure adherence to Airbus policies related to compliance and export-control allegations, escalations and disclosures.
- Develop and deploy best practices in internal investigation, including training and awareness sessions within the Export Control teams and across Airbus functions.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience with U.S. export-control regulations (ITAR, EAR) and ideally EU regulations; aerospace industry experience valued.
- Strong relationship-building, networking, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly organized, action-oriented, customer-focused and proactive.
- Ability to multi-task, set priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- High credibility, independence, integrity, confidentiality and trust.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Security clearance may be required.
