Exploration Geologist

About the job

As an Exploration Geologist at Lithosquare, you will design, plan, budget and oversee our field campaigns - from regional reconnaissance through to drilling programs. This is a hybrid role: you will spend significant time in the field leading campaigns, and in the office contributing to the development of our AI technology and exploration platform, including R&D work between campaigns. You will be a key interface between field reality and our technology, and represent Lithosquare in front of partners on the ground. We are looking for someone who is rigorous and autonomous in the field, genuinely curious about innovation, and eager to contribute to building the next generation of AI-assisted exploration technology, both in the field and from the office. The role is based in Paris.

What you’ll do

• Design, plan, budget and oversee field campaigns from regional reconnaissance to drilling programs
• Manage logistics, safety, and on-the-ground execution of field programs across multiple jurisdictions
• Compile, interpret and present field data to internal teams and partners
• Act as client-facing representative during field programs and partnership reviews
• Between field campaigns: contribute to R&D and office work - including developing and improving Lithosquare’s AI technology and exploration platform, bridging field reality and tech
• Champion innovation in field methodologies and data acquisition techniques
• Collaborate closely with geology and tech teams to improve AI-assisted exploration technology

What we are looking for

• 5 to 10 years of experience in mineral exploration geology, with significant field exposure
• Proven experience designing and managing full-cycle field campaigns (reconnaissance, sampling, geophysics, drilling supervision)
• Budget management experience for field programs
• Autonomous and rigorous: able to operate independently in remote environments
• Comfortable in client-facing and partner-facing situations
• Genuine interest in contributing to tech and AI platform development at the geology‑tech interface
• Innovative mindset: eager to challenge conventional approaches and propose new methods
• Mission-driven: a genuine passion for the energy transition and solving hard physical-world problems through innovation
