Expert virtualisation (H/F)

CHEOPS TECHNOLOGY recruiting for its Cloud & Managed Services division an Expert Virtualisation (H/F) to reinforce its Bordeaux team. Under the supervision of the Managed Services director, the Expert Virtualisation administers and maintains production components related to virtualization.

Responsibilities

• Participate in advisory and audit missions.
• Install and configure hardware and software according to service offerings, in line with procedures, methods and best practices:
• Define technical prerequisites
• Prepare, deploy, configure and validate according to technical contexts and projects
• Define and implement monitoring, supervision and reporting elements
• Set up tools and procedures for industrialized administration of platforms
• Ensure the validity of technical recipes

• Administer and maintain production platforms:
• Process change or service requests
• Contribute to issue resolution
• Analyze and resolve incidents within your technical scope

• Contribute to stability and performance of the technical perimeter:
• Verify proper operation with other technical/functional blocks
• Propose optimization and tuning actions

• Contribute to continuous improvement of methods, procedures and know-how; knowledge capitalization and technology watch
• Produce regular activity reporting

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Strong expertise in Nutanix and VMware, storage environments, Linux systems, and solid hardware knowledge (e.g., HPE, Dell)
• Ability to handle and resolve complex situations on VMware vSAN, Open Source virtualization, scripting (Bash, Ansible, ...)
• Good capacity planning skills
• Knowledge of Datacenter environment and/or multi-client exposure is highly appreciated
