Your role
Reporting to the IE Core Services Director and working within a team of 20 people (developer, tester, PO and SM) based in Grenoble, Barcelona and Bangalore, you will guide and support the developer team. You will act as the interface with various teams and ensure a high level of interaction within the IE Hub workflows.
Your missions
Challenge and Contribute to Software Architecture
- Participate in weekly architecture synchronization meetings.
- Understand, challenge, and propose improvements related to Core Services.
- Provide constructive input on architectural designs for new projects.
- Clearly explain architectural concepts to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain a comprehensive view of how Core Services fit within the overall platform architecture.
- Understand and articulate interfaces and dependencies between teams.
Write and Organize Technical Specification Reviews
- Work with the PO and SM to prepare PI Planning.
- Gather use cases and high‑level specifications to produce detailed technical specifications.
- Write specifications related to identified blocking points.
- Participate in pull‑request reviews.
- Organize and lead technical review sessions.
Provide Technical Expertise on the Platform
- Use deep platform knowledge to support technical discussions and decisions.
- Defend technical positions with clear, structured arguments.
- Understand interfaces within the domain and provide relevant, actionable insights.
- Coordinate with other teams as needed (e.g., with Efficiency during GitHub migration).
- Build agendas and define deliverables to keep topics progressing in alignment with planning and PO priorities.
Identify the Impacts of Technical Choices
- Contribute to discussions on emerging technologies (POCs, new products).
- Identify gaps to be addressed to reach project objectives.
- Defend technical recommendations with solid argumentation.
- Collaborate with Tech Leads to solve issues when necessary.
- Communicate the scheduling impacts of technical decisions.
Provide Visibility on Technical and Non‑Technical Blockers
- Escalate problems encountered during the week to management for resolution.
- Share relevant weekly updates with the team during daily meetings.
- Understand issues raised during daily meetings and challenge them with the right stakeholders in appropriate forums.
- Participate in PI Planning, identifying interfaces, dependencies, and potential blockers across teams.
- Communicate blockers to the PO and propose solutions collaboratively with the team.
- Help manage cross‑team dependencies.
Train and Support the Development Team
- Participate in daily meetings and answer technical or organizational questions.
- Propose technical improvements and support decision‑making during dailys.
- Be available to assist any team member when technical issues arise.
- Communicate PI‑level decisions and explain underlying requirements.
- Identify technical issues that could impact future development cycles.
- Collaborate with the SM and team on estimation and planning.
- Adapt to team workflows to minimize disruption.
- Clearly explain interfaces with other teams and challenge them when necessary.
- Participate in reviews and retrospectives across teams.
- Lead daily meetings when replacing the SM.
- Support recruitment activities when onboarding new team members.
