Job Overview

Join our Decision Support Team as an Expert Software Engineer and play a pivotal role in empowering investment professionals through advanced simulation and order generation tools within our flagship Windows-based desktop platform, Fusion Invest.

Responsibilities

• Improve, enhance and design functionalities for Fusion Invest, including data model persistence, exposure calculations, server interactions and UI visualisation.
• Define and monitor investment objectives, control exposures and propose hedging actions concerning various market parameters.
• Ensure robustness, scalability and clarity for end‑users, following best practices and proven design patterns.
• Develop and maintain software components using C++ (C++17 / C++20) and C#.
• Enhance portfolio management system and front‑office operational components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues.

Qualifications

• Professional software development experience with expert‑level proficiency in C/C++ and C#.
• Proven ability to solve complex technical challenges.
• Experience in desktop application development on Windows.
• Strong knowledge of memory management, performance optimisation and speed.
• Experience with Test‑Driven Development and automated testing.
• Familiarity with asynchronous and multi‑threaded processing of large‑scale datasets.
• Financial literacy: knowledge of order management systems, trade/position/portfolio/fund management, risk exposure and hedging.

Bonus Points

• Experience with GitHub, CI/CD pipelines and PowerShell scripting.
• Advanced usage of SQL (Oracle).
• Hands‑on experience with asynchronous and multi‑threaded processing of large‑scale datasets.
• Experience with DevExpress WinForms controls and familiarity with MFC.
• Interest in generative AI technologies.
