Soft Gel Formulation Expert (M/F)

Location: Compiègne, France

Responsibilities

• Define clear milestones and deliverables for each project phase.
• Early stage (ideation): create virtual prototypes, conduct mock tests, design formulations, and prototype at small scale (non‑GMP).
• Feasibility: develop feasibility plan, design formulation and process, plan API and raw material sourcing, evaluate specifications, run preliminary stability batches, validate formula, prepare feasibility report, and implement QbD tools such as DoE, FMEA, and QTPP.
• Development: scale‑up manufacturing process, produce clinical batches, manufacture regulatory submission batches and ICH stability studies, prepare development report, transfer technology to manufacturing sites, and support process validation and product launch.
• External development: serve as CDMO technical referent, manage technical interactions, identify new dosage forms and technologies, and pursue simplification opportunities.
• Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): maintain personal safety, promote site safety, contribute to HSE policy implementation, and propose actions to improve the HSE culture.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Science, Pharmacy, Engineering, or PhD.
• Proven experience in pharmaceutical or galenic development, preferably softgel and liquid/solid formulations.
• Fluent in English.
• Expertise in formulation and process development for pharmaceuticals and/or food supplements.
• Desirable experience with softgel capsule technology (animal‑based or vegan).
• Strong understanding of formulation‑process interactions and technology transfer to industrial sites.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical products and food supplements worldwide.
• Leadership, excellent communication, problem‑solving, cross‑functional collaboration, and proactive approach.
• Analytical mindset, scientific rigor, and ability to manage complex projects in a multicultural and multifunctional environment.
