Lean Manufacturing Expert (f/m) – Airbus Commercial Aircraft

Airbus Commercial Aircraft seeks a Lean Manufacturing Expert (f/m) to join the Airbus Operating System (AOS) Department in Toulouse, France. The candidate will be part of the Final Assembly Lines (FAL) central organization, driving the deployment of industrial standards and continuous improvement methods to maximize value‑added activities, eliminate waste, and secure sustainable long‑term industrial performance.

Responsibilities

• Drive operational implementation and deployment of Lean / AOS standards across factories and FALs using a collaborative “we do, you do” empowerment approach.
• Advise and coach business managers and change agents to foster an autonomous continuous improvement culture within production areas.
• Assess industrial maturity and operational performance using structured Airbus Industrial evaluation diagnostics and checklists.
• Lead or contribute to key cross‑functional transformation projects requested by executive management (HO, COO, CEO) to ensure tangible business benefits.
• Develop and update new Lean/AOS standards and brick methodologies using a structured 6‑phase approach to meet strategic priorities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5years of experience leading continuous improvement and Lean management initiatives on the factory floor; a true shop‑floor professional.
• Proven technical expertise in implementing, optimizing and designing hands‑on industrial production processes side‑by‑side with operations; an automotive background is highly appreciated.
• Strong leadership & coaching ability to drive change on the floor, train teams, challenge the status‑quo and communicate effectively at all levels.
• Problem‑solving and decision‑making capability to tackle complex shop‑floor issues with a proactive mindset, active listening skills, and clear communication across all levels.
• Negotiation level proficiency in both English and French; business trips within Europe are expected.
