Your Role
In close collaboration with various stakeholders, you are responsible to understand business requirements, lead, manage, design & develop complex cloud‑based & edge AI solutions and manage the deployment and operation into the AI Hub Platform.
As a key leader within the AI Solutions Team, you will oversee the AI Engineering sub‑domain and provide technical leadership across all three sub‑domains: Cloud, AI and Data.
This position sits at the heart of our team’s ambition to put AI as a Service (AIaaS) to all Schneider Electric Business Units and clients.
Your role is crucial in driving this transformation, promoting a modern AI approach, and reinforcing a robust engineering culture.
Your Responsibilities
Technical and Strategic Responsibilities
- Lead the design and develop scalable, optimise, secure, and compliant cloud‑based & edge AI solutions
- Manage deployment and operation for AI Solutions
- Put in place common technical patterns and strategies for UCs
- Stay up‑to‑date on the latest AI technologies
Collaboration and Influence
- Collaborate & work closely with AI Technology/Platform team, Project Managers, Solution Architects, Data Scientists, AI Engineers, and LOBs in order to
- Set clear technical context and goals
- Track and improve UCs monitoring
- Identify/Evaluate and plan for risks
- Influence on decisions
- Challenge stakeholders
- Evaluate similarities between UCs to rationalise & reuse patterns
- Follow
- UCs during their lifecycle (Incoming, in progress and delivered)
- AI Engineering team members tasks and provide leadership
- Mentor and share knowledge with Junior Engineers & stakeholders
Your Profile
- Master or PhD or equivalent diploma in Analytics / Artificial Intelligence / Data world or related subjects.
- + 6 years of experience in advanced including 3 years of experience as Technical Leader or equivalent
- Cloud Architecture / Engineering
- Mastering Azure Services (AI, ML, Compute, DBs, Containers, Storage, Networking, Security, …)
- Software Architecture / Engineering
- Coding, debugging, testing and troubleshooting (Python/Java/Scala/C++)
- AI/MLOps Engineering
- ML and AI concepts
- AI Deployment, DevOps & Security
- Data Engineering
- Distributed systems (Spark, Hadoop, …)
- Data Ingestion (batch & streaming)
- ETL/ELT concept
- DBs (SQL & NoSQL)
- Data structures (structured, semi structured, and unstructured) like Time series (meter values over time), texts, sounds, images, videos, …
- DevSecOps Engineering
- Infra As Code: Terraform / ARM Templates
- Versioning: GitHub Ecosystem
- Data/Cloud and application security concepts
- Policy development & deployment
- Secured Development Lifecycle (SDL)
- Certification in some of this previous domains
- Capacity to mentor Juniors & Stakeholders on the above technical skills
- Leadership competencies
- Understanding business context and implications
- Balancing long‑term objectives with wide scope of day‑to‑day activities
- Contributing to innovative ideas, taking risks, challenging status quo
