Main Responsibilities
- Translation & intercultural communication
- Provide real-time oral and written translation during meetings, calls, emails and official documents (Chinese ↔ English/French).
- Prepare and proofread meeting notes, reports, presentations and correspondence in three languages, ensuring technical accuracy and a professional tone.
- Anticipate cultural nuances to avoid misunderstandings in hierarchical or cross-functional exchanges.
- Operational support to the Director
- Manage the calendar, travel arrangements (international trips), reservations and logistical preparations.
- Coordinate operational alignment points with local teams (e.g., supply chain, finance, HR), ensuring the translation of needs and decisions.
- Monitor operational KPIs (e.g., delivery times, processing rates, logistics costs) and prepare summaries for the Director.Participate in performance reviews, helping to structure data and draft conclusions.
- Administrative & project management
- Manage internal processes related to the Director’s office (approvals, operating budget, supplier management).
- Support the implementation of cross-functional projects (e.g., digitization, flow optimization), facilitating communication between multilingual teams.
- Be the point of contact for urgent or sensitive administrative issues (e.g., compliance, operational risks).
Required Skills
Languages:
- Mandarin Chinese (native or C1/C2 level)
- French (fluent, minimum C1 level – ideally native or bilingual)
- English (fluent, minimum C1 level – essential for international exchanges)
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and ideally project management tools (Jira, Asana, Trello).
- Ability to analyze operational data (KPIs, dashboards).
Behavioural qualities
- Discretion, rigor, adaptability, initiative.
- Keen sense of diplomacy and interpersonal skills.
Additional Assets
- Knowledge of the logistics sector, e-commerce or AI applied to the supply chain.
- Experience working for a Chinese subsidiary or a Sino-international group (e.g. Alibaba, Cainiao, DHL, Maersk).
- Crisis management skills or experience supporting an expatriate executive.
