EVP - Engineering & Infrastructure
A global-scale role, leading technical strategy for one of the world's top infrastructure operators.
Our client is looking for its next EVP - Engineering & Infrastructure , a member of the Executive Committee, reporting directly to the CEO.
This is not a hands-on technical expert role. It is a leadership position that sits at the crossroads of engineering, investment, and international development.
The role
As the Group's Technical Authority and Owner's Representative, you'll set and drive the technical, infrastructure, and maintenance strategy across the entire network (covering the design, build, performance, and sustainability) — from assets already up and running to new acquisitions and development projects around the world.
You'll lead the international network of Chief Technical Officers, keep CAPEX & REPEX programs coherent and optimized, and negotiate directly with contractors and industrial partners on major deals — often structured through project finance.
You'll also represent the technical function on the Group's governance bodies, including subsidiary boards.
What that looks like day to day
- Set and enforce Group technical standards — sizing, engineering, maintenance, digitalization.
- Support the business development team on infrastructure analysis for growth projects and acquisitions, including master planning, facilities sizing, and CAPEX/REPEX assessment.
- Lead negotiations with contractors on binding EPC/turnkey proposals for major acquisition bids, often under project finance schemes.
- Act as the Group Technical Authority on all CAPEX & REPEX programs, supporting each business unit's CTO.
- Consolidate, challenge, and prioritize investment plans across the network for strategic, budgetary, and contractual alignment.
- Lead tender processes, contract negotiations, and works monitoring with contractors on major CAPEX programs.
- Integrate energy efficiency, decarbonization, and climate resilience into all technical programs.
What we're looking for
- 15+ years minimum leading large-scale infrastructure projects at executive level — airport experience is a plus, not a must.
- A strong track record managing CAPEX/REPEX investments, whether regional, or group-wide.
- Real experience negotiating complex contracts (Design-Build, EPC, PPP) and talking to lenders and institutional investors.
- A strategic view on digitalization, cybersecurity, and climate resilience for critical infrastructure.
- Fluent in English — French and/or Spanish as additional language is a plus.
