NB : For this position, experience in the pharmaceutical industry at a global level is mandatory.

As part of the Global Events Excellence team, the Events Excellence Project Manager will lead & orchestrate Global events execution, coordinating Global and local cross‑functional teams to help transform the strategic intent into successful and flawless execution, thus, in line with dedicated budget and Business Ethics and compliance processes.

Congress & Events Planning & Delivery

  • Be the point of contact and referent for every assigned congress/event to streamline communications (depending on complexity and level of activities, opportunity to collaborate with another project manager and split responsibilities)
  • Link with Asset Teams, Cross‑functional teams, Medical Excellence, Affiliates, Logistic Agencies, Booth Agencies, etc.
  • Drive global cross‑functional planning teams and liaise with key stakeholders to gain alignment across functions.
  • Manage logistics, ancillary meetings/events, and affiliates participation.
  • Manage external agencies (logistic, booth, others), challenge and oversee their activities.
  • Monitor congress activities pre‑during and after the event.
  • Always seek for excellence in execution and potential improvements.

Budget follow up & Contracts

  • Creation of Purchase Orders, checking invoices, and tracking payments.
  • Create and manage service contracts with suppliers in close collaboration with Corporate Legal Affairs/Purchasing/Ethics & Compliance.
  • Responsible for general administrative duties as required.
  • To ensure all actions are conducted through ethics & compliance with company policy & flag when a risk is identified.

Travel Required

Able to travel at least 20-40% of time.

Education / Certifications

  • High School Diploma required; B.A. preferred. Demonstrated competencies in supporting/working in high‑level organizations.
  • 5 years with direct and sole accountability for planning, management, and oversight of all aspects of executing pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology programs, meetings, congresses, and events.
  • Knowledge, understanding, and experience with pharmaceutical regulations such as HIPPA and the Sunshine Act.
  • Previous management experience is a plus.

Languages

  • English fluency is mandatory, French is a plus.
  • Hands‑on working experience, knowledge, and understanding of both the conventional and pharmaceutical industries, as well as business practices that support best‑in‑class meeting planning management and execution within the healthcare industry.
  • Skilled in both written & verbal communications and able to present concepts & ideas in a public speaking format.
  • Ability to take the initiative to review, prioritize, and make decisions as to what is routine versus what is critical, with little supervision.
  • Ability to interact and challenge all levels of stakeholders in an organization.
  • High level of energy, curious, team spirit, reliable, trustworthy.
