Due to continued growth and an expanding customer portfolio, the organisation is seeking a European Solution Design Manager to play a key role in supporting strategic business development initiatives and designing complex, value-added logistics solutions across the region.
The Role
As European Solution Design Manager, you will be responsible for developing innovative, commercially competitive, and operationally robust supply chain solutions for both prospective and existing customers across multiple European markets.
Working closely with Business Development, Operations, Engineering, Finance, Procurement, and Senior Leadership teams, you will lead the solution design element of major tenders, customer implementations, network optimisations, and strategic transformation projects.
This is a highly visible, customer-facing role offering exposure to some of the largest logistics opportunities across Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the solution design process for complex contract logistics opportunities across Europe.
- Design warehousing, transport, fulfilment, e-commerce, and value-added service solutions aligned with customer requirements.
- Develop operational concepts, resource models, layouts, capacity calculations, and cost models.
- Support large-scale RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and commercial tender processes.
- Conduct data analysis, network modelling, and supply chain optimisation studies.
- Work directly with customers to understand current operations, pain points, and future growth objectives.
- Present solution proposals and business cases to clients and senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate with engineering and automation teams to integrate technology-led solutions into customer proposals.
- Support the implementation and handover of awarded projects into operations.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and supply chain innovation.
- Contribute to the development of standardised solution design methodologies across the European business.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in Solution Design, Supply Chain Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Contract Logistics.
- Strong experience designing warehousing and distribution solutions within a contract logistics environment.
- Proven track record supporting complex customer tenders and business development projects.
- Advanced analytical and modelling skills.
- Experience with warehouse layouts, operational modelling, labour planning, and cost calculations.
- Strong understanding of automation technologies including AMRs, AGVs, goods-to-person systems, conveyor solutions, and warehouse management systems.
- Excellent customer-facing and presentation skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders across multiple countries and functions.
- Willingness to travel across Europe as required.
