Career Summary

Anses is seeking an European project manager in chemical risk assessment to work on the Horizon Europe project PARC until 30/04/2029. The role will contribute to methodological developments, coordinate the project, and support the European Partnership for the assessment of risks of chemicals (eu-parc.eu).

Responsibilities

• Carry out literature reviews and methodological work on the characterisation of uncertainty and the assessment of the weight of evidence.
• Develop methods for the communication of uncertainty and for the integration of Large Language Models (LLM) into the weight‑of‑evidence assessment.
• Coordinate project activities, maintain relationships with partners, and manage technical follow‑up.
• Organise, animate and write minutes of the working meetings.
• Prepare scientific deliverables in English and highlight results through publications and oral presentations at conferences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Chemistry, Health Sciences, Epidemiology or a related field.
• Knowledge of health risk assessment, epidemiology and uncertainty analysis.
• Statistical modelling skills; programming proficiency in Python (notebooks, data analysis) and/or R.
• Experience with Large Language Models, Prompt Engineering and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
• Scientific rigor, strong analytical and synthesis abilities, and proposal writing skills.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team; excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Autonomy, strong time‑management and organisational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in scientific English (written and oral); French language skills are required: good level.

Contract and Application

Type of contract: temporary (until May 2029). Remuneration is based on experience and aligned with health agency pay scales. Travel and Additional Conditions

Travel within Europe is required approximately 3–4 times a year for 1–3 days.
