European Engineering Lead

Job Summary

Engineering Lead – Paris, EMEA – responsible for managing and ensuring compliant delivery of all engineering services in line with JLL’s Statement of Work and delivery methods. The role ensures playbook and OCP compliant delivery, reporting, and oversees planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, project works and help desk calls, while providing technical guidance and supporting senior management on HSE and contractual compliance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure contractual compliance with all engineering delivery.
• Lead technical delivery and governance of contract requirements; organise and manage the site team.
• Monitor and maintain up‑to‑date training records for engineering personnel.
• Oversee all contract activities, both maintenance and projects, ensuring safety aspects comply with site procedures.
• Drive and deliver innovative cost‑reduction or sustainability programmes.
• Lead site teams and prepare budget documentation from an engineering delivery perspective for client approvals.
• Assume staff tasks during peak workloads, and provide holiday and sickness cover for the engineering senior team.
• Supervise all staff, including full‑time, part‑time, subcontractors and specialist providers.
• Provide proactive technical guidance on preventative maintenance and extra works delivery.
• Maintain clear, legible records and comply with all procedures.
• Participate in emergency out‑of‑hour escalations and produce written incident reports.
• Develop and sign off detailed planning of IST testing activities in coordination with the local team.
• Coordinate test windows with internal clients, managing documentation control and ServiceNow updates.
• Assist critical environments manager and engineering teams to keep critical activities up to date.
• Implement and validate playbook procedures.
• Identify, update and communicate operational risks to the regional team.
• Update battery and capacitor trackers to pre‑empt critical failures.
• Conduct annual plant condition assessments, critical spares inventory, and PPM planning in line with client CSI matrix.
• Oversee change requests for all works that may impact critical services.
• Perform fire systems testing and recording.
• Close actions assigned from audits and assurance visits, produce and track gap plans.
• Manage direct reports and participate in succession planning, development and training.

Experience

Minimum 5 years in critical engineering with a minimum of 3 years in a lead or management role.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified in an engineering discipline.
• Authorised Person (High Voltage / Mechanical Systems / Confined Space) preferred.
• Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or recognised equivalent is desirable.
