To strengthen our innovation capabilities and ensure product excellence across our portfolio, we are looking for our future Europe Sensory Lead (H/F) , a true ambassador of sensory culture across our Fresh, Ambient and Frozen businesses.
Your Mission
Reporting to the Europe Performance Manager , you will be responsible for defining and driving Bonduelle Europe's sensory strategy and expertise.
Your ambition will be to make sensory evaluation a key driver of differentiation, innovation, and brand preference by ensuring product superiority across all categories and channels.
You will contribute to our transformation agenda by translating sensory and consumer insights into actionable recommendations that support portfolio optimization, product competitiveness, and sustainable growth.
Managing a team of two Sensory Technicians , you will lead and develop Bonduelle's sensory capabilities by working closely with I&D, Marketing, MRCI, Quality, Production, and local European teams.
Key Responsibilities
Define and Drive the European Sensory Strategy
- Develop and deploy the sensory evaluation strategy in alignment with Innovation, Marketing, and Quality objectives.
- Act as the sensory expert and key point of contact for European cross-functional project teams.
- Ensure the robustness, consistency, and harmonization of sensory methodologies across Bonduelle Europe.
- Support innovation, renovation, and optimization projects while contributing to portfolio optimization and product competitiveness initiatives.
Develop Sensory Methods, Tools and Capabilities
- Continuously improve sensory methodologies, tools, and routines to increase efficiency and reliability.
- Design and develop the capabilities required to support the sensory strategy, including testing facilities, digital tools, and protocols.
- Create and manage a European sensory database to capitalize on knowledge, generate insights, and recommend action plans.
- Deploy and harmonize sensory standards across all European markets and business units.
- Establish sensory quality monitoring tools to ensure product consistency over time and across manufacturing sites.
Lead and Develop Sensory Panels
- Manage internal sensory panels (B!Tasting, Expert Panels, etc.) across France and Europe.
- Ensure panel performance, reliability, and expertise.
- Lead, coach, and develop the Sensory Technicians in their day-to-day activities.
- Implement agile approaches to consumer data collection and foster the integration of sensory science with consumer understanding through focus groups, innovative methodologies, and other consumer-centric approaches.
Promote a Strong Sensory Culture Across Bonduelle
- Raise awareness, train, and support teams across Europe on sensory best practices.
- Develop and embed a strong product experience culture throughout the organization.
- Provide expert guidance on complex sensory challenges encountered by project, quality, or manufacturing teams.
Your Profile
- Master's degree (or equivalent) in Sensory Science, Food Science, Consumer Science, or a related field.
- Significant experience (minimum 5 years) in sensory evaluation within the food industry or FMCG environment.
- Strong knowledge of descriptive sensory methodologies and consumer research techniques.
- Proven experience in team management and cross-functional stakeholder leadership.
- Strong influencing and communication skills within international matrix organizations.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear and actionable business recommendations.
