EU Cross-Border Tax & Transfer Pricing Expert

Job Overview

Lead tax coordination for the French subsidiary and EU-wide operations. Ensure full compliance with French GAAP, EU tax regulations and group tax policies, oversee domestic and cross‑border tax compliance, identify tax risks arising from cross‑border operations, and provide tax‑related decision‑making support for the group’s cross‑border businesses.

Specialize in EU cross‑border VAT administration, with expertise in calculation, reverse charge, filing, deduction and reconciliation of cross‑border VAT between France, Italy and other EU member states. Oversee accurate calculation and timely filing/payment of corporate income tax, local taxes and other levies, standardize tax‑related invoicing management, and mitigate risks in cross‑border tax declaration.

Transfer Pricing & Related‑party Transaction Tax Governance

Take charge of end‑to‑end transfer pricing management. Map related‑party transactions among France, Italy and other EU jurisdictions, establish transfer pricing documentation systems, optimize tax structures for intra‑group transactions, and effectively prevent cross‑border tax risks such as double taxation, transfer pricing adjustments and tax inspections.

Tax Internal Control, Audit & Inspection Response

Develop tax internal control systems tailored for cross‑border businesses, and review tax compliance of cross‑border operations and related‑party transactions. Liaise with group internal audit, external tax audit and French tax authority inspections, provide supporting documents regarding transfer pricing and cross‑border VAT, and properly handle tax verifications and disputes.

Policy Research & Internal‑external Stakeholder Communication

Monitor updates to French and EU tax policies continuously to optimize the group’s cross‑border tax strategies. Collaborate closely with overseas multi‑country business teams, headquarters finance and other functional departments to deliver customized tax support for EU cross‑border businesses, related‑party transactions and transfer pricing matters. Maintain sound relationships with external parties including French tax authorities, banks and EU cross‑border tax agencies, conduct efficient cross‑border tax communication and policy coordination, and ensure stable operation of multi‑country businesses.

Job Requirements

1. Professional Background & Experience: Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting or related majors; candidates with French local accounting qualifications are preferred. At least 3 years of working experience in finance in France or the EU; experience in manufacturing industry or multinational corporations (MNCs) is a plus.
2. Language & Regional Knowledge: Fluent in both French and English, able to use both languages as working languages for written and verbal communication. Familiar with the French business environment, tax regulations and cultural customs, and able to quickly adapt to expatriate life.
3. Technical Competence: Proficient in French GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS); hands‑on experience with ERP systems (SAP) is highly preferred.
4. Soft Skills & Adaptability: Excellent cross‑cultural communication skills, ability to work under pressure and solve problems independently, capable of handling complex matters on one’s own. Strong professional integrity, with the ability to prioritize the company’s interests.
5. Training Requirement: Required to attend a 1–3 month training program in China at the initial stage of employment.
