EU Compensation Specialist, Vice President

Location: Paris, France

Job Summary

Bank of America’s Global Human Resources team seeks an EU Compensation Specialist based in Paris. The role will play a key part in delivering and maintaining compliant reward practices across the region, ensuring alignment with EU regulations, overseeing France’s profit‑sharing arrangements, identifying EU Material Risk Takers, and managing regulatory disclosures and submissions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the management and administration of France profit sharing, ensuring alignment with regulatory and organisational objectives.
  • Support the identification and governance of EU Material Risk Takers in line with evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Support regulatory remuneration reporting and disclosures, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with EU standards.
  • Support the application of compensation structuring rules at year‑end (including deferrals and variable‑to‑fixed remuneration ratios), incorporating robust audit and control frameworks.
  • Ensure consistent and effective implementation of EU compensation regulations across practices and policies.
  • Prepare and shape materials for EU remuneration committees and boards to support informed decision‑making.
  • Partner with stakeholders across EMEA and globally to drive compensation initiatives and support strategic projects.
  • Maintain and enhance governance frameworks, controls, and documentation underpinning internal compliance assessments.

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Experience in compensation and profit‑sharing within a large multinational financial services organisation.
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and keen interest in compensation regulations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to take initiative, manage deliverables, and exercise sound judgment.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a geographically distributed team.
  • Well‑developed project management and organisational skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to manage large and complex datasets.
  • Prior experience in the EU regulatory compensation landscape is preferred.
  • Highly effective communication skills; ability to translate complex concepts and data into clear, concise insights.
  • Proven ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders in a collaborative and results‑oriented manner.
  • Commercial acumen.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
