Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Rotors Systems Engineer (m/f) to join the Rotors Systems Design team at Airbus Helicopter Marignane. Join us to shape the future of aeronautics and help protect lives during missions accomplished thanks to our helicopters.
The Marignane site, the 3rd largest industrial site in France, near Marseille and Aix-en-Provence, is undergoing a deep transformation to offer a high‑tech, inclusive, and environmentally friendly working environment.
You will live a unique professional experience, at the heart of the manufacturing of our helicopters.
Responsibilities
- Design Ensure the best architecture selection regarding helicopter specifications and general engineering outputs. Design the Rotors Systems from elementary parts to assembled system and from 3D models to detailed drawings, considering functional, kinematic, mechanical strength, and industrial constraints. Ensure quality and conformity of Rotors deliverables throughout product development and service life.
- Tests Ensure quality and relevance of Rotors test requests and conclusions, follow up and support laboratory and flight test activities.
- Follow up & support Manage equipment suppliers’ activities (design, qualification, documentation, industrialisation issues). Perform project management activities, including monitoring of relevant KPIs.
- Certification Ensure delivery and quality of certification documents (technical description, FMECA, DDP, test conclusions, maintenance documents related to design activities) approved by the Authority.
- In service Manage major incident analyses, propose severity classification and protective measures for customer safety. Propose design changes to solve production or service issues.
Required Skills
- Educated to 5‑year degree level (or equivalent) in Mechanics, Design and Dynamics of structures or related discipline.
- General knowledge of aircraft.
- Knowledge in Mechanics (aeronautics preferred, flight mechanics a plus).
- Proficiency in CAD software (preferably CATIA VSurf Composite).
- Skills in dimensioning, analysis of composite materials.
- Ability to work in a multi‑metier environment, within production.
Language Skills
English: IntermediateFrench: Fluent
Travels
Required to travel to France and/or Germany (at least one trip during the mission) and must be prepared to travel accordingly.
