#ET19 Flight Loads Engineer (F/M)

Job Description

In your role as a Flight Loads Engineer (m/f/d) you will be in charge of determining the limit and fatigue loads by simulation or flight‑test analysis, from pre‑design up to certification and serial life support. In addition to development projects you will contribute to research activities and to the continuous improvement of our methods and tools.

You will work within a transnational team in a cross‑functional environment with interfaces to many other engineering departments such as airframe, dynamic systems, flight tests and airworthiness.

Responsibilities

• Determine external loads acting on the vehicle due to trim conditions, maneuvering flight or flight in gusty conditions by analytical methods, flight‑mechanics simulation, or evaluation of measurement data.
• Specify, support and evaluate component, ground and flight test campaigns.
• Contribute to the vehicle optimisation process by providing overall vehicle loads, sensitivity studies and a component view for structural design.
• Develop leading methods and competencies in the areas of Loads & Aeroelasticity, along with the required methods and tools.
• Support product certification and the evolution of requirements in that area.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree level (diploma/master) in aeronautical engineering or mechanical engineering (or equivalent).
• Good knowledge of the principles of aerodynamics, flight dynamics and aeroelasticity.
• Experience in analysis of test data.
• Programming/scripting experience with Python.
• Excellent communication skills and strong team spirit.
• Open‑minded, curious and problem‑solving attitude.
• Enjoy a transverse and international environment.
• Fluent in English; German is desirable and French is a plus.
