Your future missions

The mission of the Certification/Qualification Engineer is to demonstrate compliance of Airbus Helicopters products to the applicable airworthiness requirements, to ensure their in‑service safety. This includes negotiation internally and with Aviation Authorities worldwide, and requires a broad overview of our products, systems and organization.

Within the Airworthiness Office, the Initial Airworthiness Department is responsible for leading the Certification and Qualification activities necessary to meet development and delivery milestones of the different programs.

These activities mainly cover:

  • Initial certification of our products
  • Certification of further steps (domain extension, new variant, and Post‑TC design changes, including Technical Publications)
  • Serial and prototype helicopters' Permit to Fly
  • Initial and design‑change foreign validation
  • Management of schedule and priorities for all certification activities
  • Support to deliveries
  • Support to offers

Your challenge

As part of the Helionix Chief Airworthiness Engineer team, you will work directly with the Chief Engineer team, the Design Office, Support Services, and authorities (EASA, FAA, DGA). Your main missions include:

  • Compliance demonstration activities management – follow‑up, reporting, fixing hard points, ensuring on‑time completion, and interface with change board management process
  • Certification activities under the supervision of an experienced CQE – contributing to Helionix certification steps for a program (H135, H145, H160 or H175) as needed, identification and definition of the applicable certification basis (airworthiness and OSD) and CRI, contribution to the certification logic and program, review of compliance demonstrations, and consolidation of results to declare compliance at helicopter level to support delivery

This role will involve some business travel in Europe.

Your profile

Required skills and experience:

  • First experience in avionics certification and/or Software (DO178‑B, DO254) and/or System Engineering (ARP4754, DO297) – a plus
  • Experience in project management – a plus
  • Knowledge of airworthiness – a plus
  • Advanced level of English
