Position Overview

As an Estimator / Naval Technician (M/F), you will prepare reliable and structured cost estimates for future shipyard projects at Damen Shiprepair Brest.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and analyze clients" technical specifications.
• Assess the costs of work to be carried out, both in-house and subcontracted.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Project, and Production teams to build complete and consistent proposals.
• Occasionally travel for short assignments (5–6 days) in France or abroad to inspect vessels.

Required Qualifications

• Degree level Bac+2/3 (BTS, DUT, Professional Bachelor’s degree) or significant experience in a naval or industrial environment.
• Comfortable reading technical drawings (structures, piping, mechanics).
• Strong written French skills and English level between B1 and C1.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Organized, rigorous, analytical, autonomous, and an excellent communicator.
