We are working with one of France’s largest independent accounting, audit and advisory organisations on the appointment of an Equity Partner – Accounting Operations & Operational Finance Support .

The firm has an established accounting and outsourcing capability supporting major French and international organisations when their finance teams require additional operational capacity, specialist accounting expertise or temporary senior support.

The objective is to appoint a senior accounting professional who can lead, develop and scale this activity while maintaining a very high level of client delivery.

The Opportunity

The practice provides operational support to Finance Departments when clients face temporary, structural or project-driven resourcing requirements.

Typical situations may include:

• Maternity or parental leave
• Long-term sickness or absence
• Unexpected departures of senior finance professionals
• Year-end or period-end workload peaks
• Restructuring or organisational change
• Acquisitions, integrations or carve-outs
• Finance transformation programmes
• Temporary shortages of accounting or consolidation expertise
• Major accounting projects requiring additional capacity
• Interim reinforcement of accounting and finance teams

Rather than simply introducing individual freelancers, the firm provides experienced accounting professionals and teams operating under the responsibility, quality standards and oversight of a leading accounting organisation.

Assignments can range from the temporary reinforcement of a client accounting team through to taking responsibility for defined accounting processes or finance activities.

• Order-to-Cash and Procure-to-Pay

The Role

The successful individual will help lead and further develop the firm's Operational Accounting and Finance Support business.

Responsibilities will include:

• Leading major client relationships
• Understanding operational finance and accounting requirements
• Structuring appropriate teams for client assignments
• Ensuring the quality and continuity of client delivery
• Managing and developing accounting professionals
• Developing new client relationships
• Expanding existing client accounts
• Identifying opportunities for additional accounting and advisory services
• Building a scalable operational support business
• Working closely with Partners across Accounting, Advisory, Audit and Finance Transformation

This is both a client leadership and business-building role .

The successful individual should therefore combine strong accounting credibility with the commercial ambition to develop the activity further.

The Profile

Candidates should ideally bring:

• Significant experience within accounting, outsourcing, finance operations or accounting advisory
• Strong technical accounting expertise
• Experience working with large and complex organisations
• Experience leading accounting teams and significant client engagements
• Strong understanding of how Finance Departments operate
• Experience managing operational accounting requirements
• Commercial and business development capability
• Experience building or developing client relationships
• The ability to manage and grow teams
• An entrepreneurial approach to developing a professional services business
• The capability and ambition to operate as an Equity Partner

Experience across Accounting Outsourcing, BPO, ACR, Managed Services, Operational Finance Support or Assistance Opérationnelle would be particularly relevant.

Candidates may currently operate at Partner, Associate Partner, Director or equivalent senior level within a major accounting or professional services organisation.

A Diplôme d'Expertise Comptable / Expert-Comptable background is strongly preferred given the accounting nature of the activity.
