Environmental Scanning & Benchmarking Lead

ProSidian, a consulting firm specializing in Risk Management, Compliance, Business Process, IT Effectiveness, Engineering, Environmental, Sustainability, and Human Capital, is seeking a senior consultant to lead environmental scanning and benchmarking for a federal science agency.

Job Overview

Provide services and support as an Environmental Scanning & Benchmarking Lead focused on Human Capital solutions for clients such as the National Science Foundation (NSF) and associated federal agencies. Work primarily in Alexandria, VA (Hybrid) and across the Mid-Atlantic region.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental scans and benchmark analyses using federal data (e.g., OPM's FedScope, CHCO Council publications, agency performance reports) to compare NSF's human capital metrics, programs, and outcomes with peer agencies.
• Deliver innovative solutions that improve operational efficiency through digital transformation, process automation, and advanced analytics.
• Support regulatory compliance and adherence to federal human capital management policies.
• Facilitate integration of IT systems and workforce planning tools to optimize service delivery.
• Lead benchmarking studies and provide comparative analysis and actionable recommendations.
• Coordinate stakeholders and deliver technical or functional outputs required for compliant, scalable, and measurable mission support.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of analytics/research experience in government or public services.
• Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Policy, or a related field.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
• Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills for effective team management.
• Outstanding time management, prioritization, adaptability, and attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills (oral and written).
