Entry Level Gas Engineer

Location: Boston, MA; Norwell, MA

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions for crucial transmission and distribution infrastructure for gas utilities.
• Support senior engineers in preparing technical reports, contract documents, and cost estimates.
• Perform calculations and design tasks using industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and best practices for optimizing installation, maintenance, and system reliability.
• Join field assignments with senior staff to gain hands‑on experience in assessment, planning, and rehabilitation of gas pipelines and related infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering required.
• No experience required; however prior internships and/or relevant coursework are preferred.
• Strong theoretical foundation and familiarity with engineering software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a collaborative team.
• Participation in professional engineering society/organization.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification a plus.

Salary

$72,000 - $75,000 (salary based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards).
