Engineering Simulation Benchmark Designer

IXO is engaging specialists to evaluate simulation tasks with measurable engineering outcomes. Your contribution is technical work: make the reasoning inspectable, identify substantive errors and provide evidence that supports a reliable assessment.

Work you will do

• Construct or assess engineering simulation problems with a reproducible environment and clear numerical criteria.
• Use suitable code and simulation tools to connect model inputs, solver behavior and resulting physical quantities.
• Explain how correctness can be tested, identify weak or ambiguous task specifications, and document a reference approach.

Required background and routes

• Doctoral-level competence or an equivalent industrial record in controls, analog/RF circuits, power electronics or mechanical design.
• Write Python simulations, express acceptance as measurable thresholds and use GitHub with a browser-based development environment. Judge difficult solutions rigorously, including those you cannot immediately solve yourself.

Deliverables

Submit the completed technical artifact or assessment with its supporting evidence, explicit assumptions, reproducible checks where applicable, and concise reasons for each material judgment. Address review findings within the agreed scope.

Location and schedule

Remote assignments are scheduled by agreement, with no guaranteed weekly volume. Availability planning can include 30 hours per week depending on the track. IXO confirms the applicable timing before work.

Pay and working terms

$65 $95/hr USD. The agreed hourly rate, scope, schedule and acceptance criteria are confirmed before work starts. Applying does not guarantee an assignment.
