Financial Project Controller – Toulouse, France

Airbus Defence & Space / Space Systems Finance organization is seeking a Financial Project Controller to join the Finance team within the Engineering Management Unit.

Responsibilities

• Control and monitor the financial performance of several engineering external R&D projects in France and consolidate the project’s global financial performance (UK, GE and FR).
• Provide excellent financial control, performance monitoring and reporting at management level.
• Provide financial support, guidance and challenge to business topics, particularly: promote financial awareness on "grants" or "co‑funded" R&D projects; propose the right funding scheme or project type based on accounting guidances; ensure strict adherence of business to finance compliance requirements.
• Co‑pilot the financial performance: plan & challenge, consolidate forecast and OP exercises, check consistency of planning deviations, maintain & challenge multi‑year performance, produce accurate reporting, assess performance, analyze deviations, advise corrective actions, anticipate financial risks and opportunities, interact with auditors, approve shopping carts, review commitments & accruals, trigger cost rebooking & transfer, provide reliable cost report for grant projects, clean project master data, and collaborate closely with the R&D controller.
• Consider all financial dimensions: Order Intake, Revenues, Cost of Sales, Project GM, R&D, Cash‑in, Cash‑out, Contract assets, Contract liabilities across all relevant periods (monthly, quarterly, yearly, multi‑years).

Qualifications

• Master Degree in Finance (and/or experience in that field).
• First experience in Finance.
• Good knowledge of SAP, Excel, Google Suite.
• Demonstrated autonomy & proactivity.
• Good communication skills and team player.
• Intermediate level English.
