Engineering Manager Hands-on (Subscription)

Requirements

• You have experience and passion for growing, developing, and guiding people

• Experience working in agile development teams with knowledge of our following tech stack : AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Rest

  Ful API, Python, Django, Vue

What the job involves

• We are looking for a Engineering Manager hands-on for our Subcriptions squad
• The Subscription team is building Back Market's next growth engine: a suite of device protection and repair services, so we're transforming how customers protect their refurbished devices through subscription plans, smart retention flows, and personalized experiences
• As TLM, you'll lead technical delivery across our subscription platform, Services hub, and payment systems while collaborating with multiple engineering teams to scale a service that genuinely extends device life and drives the circular economy
• Leading a collaborative team (5 people) in delivering great software that our customers will love!
• Collaborating within the product engineering department to align the team with company objectives and initiatives across engineering and the wider business
• You build strong roadmaps with the right balance of long-term strategic initiatives and more short-term tactical bets that embody the company’s strategy and the team’s growth-hacking mindset
• Demonstrating a broad understanding of our global architecture and how your domains fits within it
• Consistently delivering code that sets the standard for quality and maintainability
• Ensuring the development of people through ongoing coaching and mentoring
• Creating a team environment where team members feel like they belong and are supported to do their best work
• Establishing open communication and a culture of feedback between team members
• Working in an agile "build it and run it" environment where engineering teams build, launch, monitor and support the sections they own
