About your team and your mission
You will lead the Incidents team comprised of four backend engineers, one Machine Learning engineer, and one Staff Engineer.
The team handles incident-related business logic and enriches the model with more information and context.
Examples of ongoing projects
- Risk score overhaul with LLMs – rethinking the incident risk score using AI pipelines.
- AI‑powered incident enrichment – designing an enriched incident lifecycle integrating AI.
- Incident type unification – consolidating multiple incident types into a single model.
Main responsibilities
- Lead and develop the team: run 1:1s, give feedback, support career growth, and create conditions for success.
- Own team delivery: unblock, plan, ensure quality, and ship the right features on time.
- Drive technical leadership: stay close to work, challenge architectural decisions, uphold high standards.
- Contribute individually 20‑25% of time via code, documentation, or reviews.
Technical environment
- Backend: Python + Django, Go, RabbitMQ, Redis
- DB: Elasticsearch, Kibana, PostgreSQL
- Frontend: React / Typescript
- Deployment: Docker, Terraform, AWS
About you
Essential criteria:
- At least 6 years of backend development experience.
- First experience managing a team of at least 3.
- Strong Python skills for reviewing, performance, and architecture.
- Strong web development fundamentals and architecture understanding.
- Hands‑on: solution‑oriented, prioritization, coding when needed.
- Connect technical decisions to business impact.
- Use AI in engineering practices and structure team usage.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Additional skills that strengthen but not required:
- French language.
- Business acumen connecting tech decisions to product or commercial outcomes.
