Engineering Manager – Industrial Equipment | Paris | International Projects

Linum Consult’s client is a leading international construction and engineering group delivering some of the world's most prestigious projects across aviation, healthcare, hospitality, sports, mixed-use developments, transportation, and critical infrastructure.

As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager with a strong background in industrial equipment, material handling systems, baggage handling systems (BHS), vertical transportation, automated logistics systems, or other complex engineered equipment to join their specialist engineering team in Paris.

THE ROLE

This is a highly visible international position supporting major projects from concept development through to commissioning and operational handover.

You will act as the technical authority for complex equipment packages, working closely with clients, design teams, manufacturers, contractors, and project delivery teams across multiple international projects.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the technical development and integration of industrial equipment systems
• Reviewing designs and ensuring technical compliance throughout the project lifecycle
• Supporting equipment selection, system sizing, and operational optimisation
• Coordinating manufacturers, suppliers, consultants, and project teams
• Managing technical reviews, audits, risk assessments, and value engineering activities
• Supporting factory acceptance testing (FAT), commissioning, and handover activities
• Preparing technical and commercial documentation, including budgets and cost estimates
• Providing technical support during construction and site delivery phases

PROFILE

• Degree qualified in Engineering or a related discipline
• Approximately 15 years' experience within industrial equipment, automated systems, airport systems, baggage handling systems, material handling, vertical transportation, or similar sectors
• Proven experience working with equipment manufacturers, system integrators, or specialist engineering organisations
• Strong understanding of design, installation, testing, commissioning, and operational performance
• Experience supporting complex international projects
• Proficient with digital engineering tools, data analysis, and BIM environments
• Professional working proficiency in both French and English
• Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis
