Job Mission

The mission of the Engineering Enablers (ETE) department is to deliver enablers to boost efficiency in Engineering while providing added value to customers in terms of Strategy, Transformation, Processes, Quality, Aviation Safety, Methods, and Tools. We collaborate and work closely with Information Management, Central Transformation and Digital Transformation Office organizations to lead business transformation within Airbus Helicopters Engineering. We are a transnational team located in France and Germany who believes in empowering our people, simplifying our processes and tools, and driving innovation.

Role Overview

As part of the Engineering Transformation Squad, you will support several parallel initiatives aimed at improving the productivity of the Design Office. You will act as a bridge between engineering métier (business) and AI experts to increase the efficiency and productivity of the Design Office, exploring how automation can drive business efficiency.

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Explore Solutions: Use your academic background to identify pain points within the design office and explore ways to automate workflows or optimize processes using Artificial Intelligence.
  • Model Training & Deployment: Assist in the training and deployment of models tailored for specific engineering use cases.
  • Business Integration: Act as a bridge between technical AI capabilities and the practical needs of various Engineering Métiers.
  • Transversal Collaboration: Visit various Engineering departments to understand their daily challenges and translate them into technical AI requirements, while identifying similar needs and synergies.
  • Technical Implementation: Utilize the company's digital ecosystem (Foundry Palantir, Python, VS Code) to build sustainable engineering enablers.

Your Main Tasks

  • Identify and collect Metiers needs and opportunities of digital innovations for Mixed Reality and Artificial Intelligence.
  • Contribute to the definition and planning of the digital innovation strategy and roadmap applicable for all Engineering metiers.
  • Accompany the project leaders from Metiers to structure their digital innovation projects from ideation up to deployment phases by applying the agile LBIP standards, with extended collaboration across Airbus Helicopters and the right steering of the activities.
  • Ensure the right coordination between Engineering, Central Digital Innovation, and Information Management for framing, solution proposal, roll‑out, and production support.
  • Contribute to regular communications and reporting at top management level about Digital Innovation within Engineering.

Pre‑requisites

  • Education: 5‑year degree level (or equivalent).
  • Technical Landscape (Discovery & Application)
    • Development Environments: VS Code, JupyterLab, PyCharm, Spyder or Visual Studio 2022.
    • Data & AI Platforms: Skywise / Palantir Foundry and exploring LLM endpoints/APIs.
    • Languages & Scripting: Exposure to Powershell, C#, C++, SQL, Typescript, Rust or Bash.
    • Engineering Tools: Integration with the Engineering PLM landscape (Catia) and Google Workspace.
  • Work Experience
    • Minimum of 5‑year experience in Digital innovation project management.
    • Minimum of 3‑year experience in Project Management (or similar relevant experience).
    • Senior profile with proven experience in managing company‑wide change management execution.
  • Skills
    • Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated ability to engage with Transformation Project leaders, Top Management, and Unions/Work Councils.
    • Generative AI Knowledge: Fluent with Gemini, Prompt Engineering, and AI use cases.
    • Communication: Strong skills in creating content and animating communities.
  • Languages
    • English: Fluent.
    • French: Fluent.
