Job Description
We are seeking an individual to join our dynamic team as an Engineer II – Emulation. In this role, you will be an integral member of the MCU Emulation Team, focusing on the critical task of testing the functionality of pre‑silicon microcontroller units (MCUs) using advanced FPGA platforms. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of next‑generation embedded solutions and to work at the forefront of technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Software and Firmware Debug & Development
- Design, develop, and debug software and firmware components using Python, C, and C++ to support emulation and validation activities.
- Collaborate with team members to create robust test scripts and automation tools that streamline the emulation process.
- Analyze and interpret test results, identifying anomalies and working towards effective solutions.
- Team Collaboration & Project Execution
- Work closely with small, agile teams to achieve program milestones within firm timelines, ensuring high‑quality deliverables.
- Participate in regular team meetings, contributing ideas and technical insights to drive project success.
- Pre‑Silicon Issue Resolution
- Investigate issues discovered during the pre‑silicon phase of MCU design development.
- Communicate technical issues clearly and effectively, filing detailed bug reports and collaborating with design and verification teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Technical Documentation & Communication
- Prepare comprehensive documentation of test procedures, results, and issue resolutions.
- Present findings and recommendations to cross‑functional teams, supporting continuous improvement in design and validation processes.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Academic coursework or project experience in one or more of the following areas:
- High‑Speed Digital Design
- Systems Design
- Firmware Development
- Working knowledge of electronics laboratory equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers/exercisers, and protocol analyzers.
- Knowledge in reading and generating electrical schematic diagrams, as well as performing PCB hardware bring‑up and debug.
- Good organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Verbal and written communication skills appreciated.
- Self‑motivated and able to thrive in a collaborative, cross‑functional group environment.
