Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, upgrade, and repair PacBio equipment at customer sites.
- Accurately document service activities and expenses in a timely manner.
- Manage and maintain a dependable spare parts inventory.
- Collaborate with Territory Account Managers and Field Application Specialists to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Mentor and train junior and new service engineers.
- Develop and optimize operational procedures and processes.
- Share field insights by contributing to the knowledge base and communicating with the FSE team.
- Provide detailed feedback and analysis of field issues to Technical Support and service management.
- Author and refine service documentation, including alignment, replacement, and upgrade protocols.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of biochemistry, biology, and/or life sciences.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a problem‑solving mindset.
- Proficiency with Windows and Linux OS, networking, and general computer hardware/software.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Fluent French and English.
- Self‑motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Based in the Paris, France area.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively.
Preferred Experience
- Minimum of three years’ experience in servicing or supporting complex electromechanical or chemical equipment.
- Hands‑on experience with life sciences instrumentation, particularly DNA sequencing technology.
Additional Information
This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. May be required from time to time to visit and work at PacBio locations for such times as the company considers necessary for proper performance of duties.

Salary Range: €36,300.00 - €54,500.00.
