Greenvolt Next France is seeking a Contract Manager .
The Contract Manager oversees the negotiation, execution, and management of contracts related to market representation, spot market sales, PPA or CfD contracts, and guarantee of origin trading. This role ensures that all agreements comply with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards while optimizing financial and operational outcomes for the organization. The Contract Manager is pivotal in driving the organization’s energy contracting strategies, ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and maximizing value in a competitive energy market.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and manage RFPs for market representation contracts, support PPAs negotiations, tolling agreements, and hedging contracts.
- Ensure that contracts align with company objectives, risk tolerance, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all contracts are onboarded in the ETRM tool and archived appropriately.
- Collaborate with legal, finance, and trading teams to incorporate appropriate terms and conditions into agreements.
- Manage the lifecycle of energy contracts, from inception to expiration or renewal.
- Maintain accurate records of contract terms, performance milestones, and obligations.
- Monitor compliance with contract terms and elevate potential breaches or disputes.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with energy contracts, such as price volatility, credit risk, and regulatory changes.
- Develop contingency plans to address potential contract disputes or force majeure events.
- Work closely with risk management teams to align contracts with hedging strategies.
- Stay updated on market trends, regulatory developments, and industry best practices that may affect contractual terms.
- Ensure all contracts adhere to regional and international energy market regulations and standards.
- Support compliance reporting and audits related to energy contracts.
- Build and maintain relationships with counterparties, clients, utilities, and regulatory bodies.
- Analyze financial and operational performance reports extracted from the ETRM.
- Prepare detailed reports on contract execution, financial performance, and compliance metrics.
- Recommend improvements to contract structures and strategies to enhance value creation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Energy, Law, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in energy contracting, procurement, or trading.
- Familiarity with energy markets, renewable energy projects, and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
