EMEA Marketing Manager Biofunctionals

Ashland is seeking a Regional Marketing Manager for its Biofunctionals Business Line within the Personal Care division in EMEA. The role reports to the Global Marketing Manager for Biofunctionals and focuses on driving regional strategy, product launch, and market growth.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regional market intelligence: monitor and analyze market trends, competitors, and customer brands (including segmentation) to identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Feed insights to the global marketing manager and team to refine strategy.
  • Define and execute the regional marketing plan aligned with global strategy.
  • Represent the company at regional networks, associations, industry events, and conferences.
  • Adapt portfolio priorities and product focus to meet regional needs.
  • Translate global positioning and messaging to EMEA markets.
  • Contribute to regional portfolio strategy, including relaunches, focus products, and pricing inputs.
  • Lead regional innovation projects and new product introductions (NPI).
  • Define marketing concepts, target segments, and value propositions.
  • Lead regional product launches, associated campaigns, training, and cross‑regional roll‑out.
  • Coordinate and execute regional previews with sales teams.
  • Localize campaigns and content; adapt and deploy global campaigns at the regional level.
  • Develop regional content and communication plans.
  • Select relevant media channels and activation tactics.
  • Lead the launch execution and regional rollout of product launches, including customer previews.
  • Adapt messaging to local market expectations.
  • Provide marketing tools and training to regional sales teams and distributors.
  • Support customer communication, presentations, and webinars.
  • Define customer segmentation in the region and strategies to maximize commercial impact.
  • Manage and execute regional tradeshows and events (congresses, etc.).
  • Identify featured products and ensure effective execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in cosmetic sciences or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of marketing and/or commercial experience, preferably in the designated region.
  • Strong understanding of marketing strategy development and execution, market and trend research, customer segmentation, and communication channel mix.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong networks within Ashland and with external partners.
  • Self‑driven and tenacious with strong project management skills.
  • Willingness to travel within the region – approximately 20% of the time.
  • Preferred: experience in the personal care market.
  • Preferred: project management experience.
  • Fluent in English.
