OPUS Aerospace is a start-up founded in 2020, positioned at the crossroads of space and defense, based in Br33etigny-sur-Orge on the former Air Base 217, developing sounding rockets for very high altitude up to the edge of space, dedicated to dual-use applications.

Through M e9sange, its supersonic sounding rocket, the company addresses defense applications such as aerial threat representation, qualification of detection and interception systems, and armed forces training, as well as civil missions such as microgravity experiments, upper atmosphere research, and qualification of space technologies in a real flight environment.

As it prepares for M e9sange0s first flight, OPUS Aerospace is building, brick by brick, a sovereign and disruptive capability.

  • Contribute to defining the avionics architecture of M e9sange and its future evolutions (hardware and software); contribute to criticality analyses and system requirements allocation,
  • Develop and qualify real-time embedded software; contribute to verification, validation, and requirements traceability documentation,
  • Ability to read PCB schematics and other circuit designs, write embedded code, and participate in system integration,
  • Implement integration and test processes for electronic systems; participate in test campaigns on the Br e9tigny test bench, with internal teams or externally with partners,
  • Contribute to technical exchanges with clients on avionics topics and participate in project reviews and associated technical deliverables,
  • Write and maintain technical documentation (design files, interface notes, test and qualification plans).
  • Engineering degree or Master b9s in embedded systems, electronics, control systems, or an equivalent discipline.
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in an aerospace, defense, or other demanding industrial environment, ideally with exposure to flight systems or launch vehicles.
  • Proficiency in real-time embedded software development (C/C++, RTOS) and associated tools (Git, Jenkins, modeling tools such as MATLAB/Simulink or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of avionics architectures (CAN bus, SpaceWire, RS-422), inertial navigation systems, and applicable standards (DO-178, ECSS-E-ST-40 or equivalent MIL) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of standard embedded communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART) and Ethernet networking, with the ability to design, integrate, and troubleshoot data exchanges across avionics systems.
  • Familiarity with the OPC UA protocol is a plus, combined with a genuine appetite for Python to support test automation, data processing, and tooling within avionics integration environments.
  • Working within an international team, technical proficiency in English is essential. Knowledge of another language would be a plus.

What we offer
