Job Description

En tant que Responsable de la Plateforme Logicielle Embarquée, vous serez chargé de définir et de mettre en œuvre la stratégie de la plateforme logicielle embarquée, en garantissant le développement, la vérification et la validation de solutions logicielles embarquées robustes et innovantes.

Vous aurez la responsabilité directe du développement logiciel embarqué, de la validation et vérification (V&V) des logiciels embarqués pour les IED GridBeats™, ainsi que du développement technologique de la plateforme de contrôle (CSP) et de la cybersécurité pour Grid Automation. Vous dirigerez une équipe multidisciplinaires, gèrerez les ressources R&D et alignez les livraisons sur la feuille de route produit GridBeats™.

Scope

As the Embedded Software Platform Leader, you will be responsible for defining and executing the Embedded Software platform strategy, ensuring the development, verification, and validation of robust and innovative Embedded Software solutions for GridBeats IEDs, the Control Software Platform (CSP), and cybersecurity initiatives.

Major Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning and Execution
  • Define and implement the Embedded Software platform strategy aligned with the company's vision and goals.
  • Develop roadmaps for Embedded Software development, ensuring alignment with product and market requirements.
• Development Leadership
  • Lead the Development team in designing, coding, and testing Embedded Software for IEDs.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and secure Embedded Software solutions.
• Verification and Validation
  • Oversee the verification and validation processes to ensure Embedded Software meets all functional and performance specifications.
  • Implement rigorous testing protocols and quality assurance practices.
• Innovation and Improvement
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Embedded Software performance, scalability, and security.
  • Foster a culture of innovation within the Embedded Software development team.
• Collaboration and Communication
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, product management, and Program management to ensure cohesive product development.
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions effectively to stakeholders.
• Compliance and Standards
  • Ensure Embedded Software development adheres to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in embedded systems and Embedded Software technologies.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Educational background : Master’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is usually required
• Experience : Significant experience in embedded systems development (10+ years), including hands‑on work with embedded software and hardware on multicore systems focused on performance and determinism
• Technical Skills : Proficiency in C / C++, Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), microcontroller architectures, Linux, Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, virtualization, and communication protocols such as DNP3, Modbus, IEC 60870, IEC 61850 (MMS, GOOSE, SMV)
• Leadership and Management : Strong leadership skills to guide and mentor a team of engineers, manage project timelines, and set technical direction
• Problem‑Solving Abilities : Excellent problem‑solving skills to troubleshoot and optimize embedded systems
• Communication Skills : Effective communication skills for collaborating across hardware, software, product management, and program management teams
• Industry Knowledge : Knowledge of protection and control segment for Transmission & Distribution, industry standards, certifications, and security best practices for embedded devices, with expertise in IEC standards IEC 61850, 60870‑5, 62351, 62433‑4‑2
• Continuous Learning : Staying updated with the latest advancements in embedded technologies and connectivity protocols
• Power System Product Design : Experience in developing Power System Products is appreciated
