Embedded Software Development Engineer (f/m)

Job Description

This position is offered by Airbus Commercial. You will join the Avionics or Simulation Software department, part of the Avionics and Simulation Products engineering domain in Toulouse, France.

Your challenges

• You will be part of a dynamic software team developing embedded avionics (e.g., Flight Controls).
• You will be responsible for the end‑to‑end development of avionics real‑time or simulation software, applying robust engineering methodologies, complying with airworthiness regulations, and balancing technical, business and industrial considerations.
• This position requires experience in software development for embedded critical operating systems.

Operating Environment

• Implement the full V‑cycle of embedded real‑time low level software (OS, I/O, system partitions, network), from high‑level specification analysis to integration and validation on final hardware.
• Understand and challenge customer needs to propose reusable and harmonized solutions.
• Conduct integration and verification activities using test tools (probes, bus analyzers, emulators, etc.).
• Provide support: analyze failure reports and respond to technical queries.
• Contribute to process improvements and introduce innovative solutions and technologies.

Your boarding pass

• Education to an engineering degree or equivalent, preferably in Aeronautics, Embedded Systems or Computer Science.
• Programming languages: C in a critical embedded context.
• Software engineering methods and tools (standard DEVOPS environment).
• Experience with V‑cycle development.
• Negotiation level of English and French.
