Electronics Engineer – Analog / RF Systems

We are looking for an Electronics Engineer with strong analog and RF experience to join our technical team and contribute to the design, development, testing, and industrialization of TiHive’s core hardware systems.

You will work on the electronics behind our terahertz cameras, sources, acquisition systems, and related hardware platforms, from concept and architecture through prototyping, validation, troubleshooting, and product release.

IC design experience would be a strong added value, especially in analog, RF, mixed-signal, or high-frequency circuits. However, this is not mandatory: we are primarily looking for a strong electronics engineer capable of designing and validating reliable high-performance systems.

Key Responsibilities

Electronics Design

  • Design, develop, and optimize analog and RF electronic circuits for THz imaging and sensing systems.
  • Work on the electronics of TiHive’s cameras, sources, acquisition chains, control boards, and test platforms.
  • Define electronic architectures in collaboration with the system, optics, embedded, software, and mechanical teams.
  • Design schematics, select components, support PCB layout, and ensure signal integrity, noise performance, and robustness.
  • Contribute to power supply design, biasing, control electronics, synchronization, acquisition interfaces, and high-frequency signal chains.

Testing, Validation & Debugging

  • Bring up new boards and hardware prototypes.
  • Define and execute test plans for electronics modules and complete systems.
  • Perform measurements, debugging, characterization, and performance validation.
  • Use lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, power supplies, and data acquisition tools.
  • Identify root causes of hardware issues and propose corrective actions.

Product Development & Industrialization

  • Support the transition from prototype to reliable industrial product.
  • Contribute to design-for-test, design-for-manufacturing, and design-for-reliability activities.
  • Create technical documentation, test procedures, validation reports, and production support material.
  • Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing partners for PCB fabrication, assembly, and troubleshooting.
  • Support continuous improvement of deployed systems based on customer feedback and field data.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with IC designers, embedded engineers, software engineers, physicists, system engineers, and industrialization teams.
  • Participate in technical reviews and architecture decisions.
  • Contribute to TiHive’s roadmap for next-generation THz cameras, sources, and sensing platforms.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in electronics engineering.
  • Strong experience in analog electronics.
  • Solid knowledge of RF or high-frequency electronics.
  • Experience with electronic architecture, schematic design, PCB design support, board bring-up, testing, and validation.
  • Good understanding of signal integrity, noise, grounding, shielding, filtering, and measurement techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory instrumentation and hardware debugging.
  • Ability to move from design to practical implementation, testing, and problem solving.
  • Structured engineering mindset with good documentation practices.
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary deep-tech environment.
