The Design Engineer will be working within our MMIC Design Team at our MACOM European Semiconductor Centre(ESC) located in Limeil-Brévannes. A successful candidate will be responsible for designing new Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMIC) based on the MACOM ESC PHEMT, MHEMT or GaN PDKs.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

•Design state of the art MMICs from electrical specifications, following the dedicated procedures•Generate reports for each milestone of the design process•Review prototype test data and take design tuning actions if required•Keep control of the design planning•Support the application team for the development of the evaluation boards•Frequent interaction with PDK, Test and Application Teams

Experience and Competencies:

•Two plus years of relevant work experience in the field of high frequency analogue circuit design•Knowledge of basic electronics (RF, analogue)•Ability to have a technical discussion in English•Knowledge MS Excel•General knowledge of MS Windows operating systems•Good knowledge of microwave design packages such as Keysight ADS or Cadence AWR•Good knowledge of electromagnetic simulation tools, such as Momentum, HFSS or Axiem•Keen attention to detail and accuracy•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills•Fluent in French•English Intermediate level

Minimum Qualifications:

•MS or Dr in Engineering (circuit design and microwave fields preferred)
