What you'll do

• Design and develop electrical systems for renewable energy projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical components into larger energy systems, focusing on wind and solar technologies.
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments to evaluate the performance and efficiency of electrical systems.
• Create detailed engineering documentation, including schematics, specifications, and reports to support project development and implementation.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring they meet operational requirements and safety protocols.
• Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on electrical equipment to identify and resolve issues promptly.
• Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance energy output and reliability.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in electrical engineering and renewable energy technologies to inform best practices and innovation within the team.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders, including contractors and suppliers, to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical expertise to support decision-making processes.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns, fostering a culture of learning and development within the team.
• Contribute to the preparation of grant applications and funding proposals to support ongoing research and development initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
• Proficient in electrical design software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, and renewable energy technologies.
• Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with relevant safety standards and regulations in the energy sector.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience with energy management systems and smart grid technologies.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and incentives related to renewable energy in France.
• Previous experience in a consulting or project management role within the energy sector.
• Professional engineering certification (e.g., Chartered Engineer) is a plus.

Skills & tools

• Proficient in electrical design and simulation software (AutoCAD, MATLAB, Simulink).
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or C++ for automation and control systems.
• Strong analytical skills for data analysis and performance optimization.
