Electrical Engineer
We’re Hiring an Electrical Engineer!
Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer with strong expertise in renewable energy projects and electrical network studies?
We are looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, and construction of onshore wind, photovoltaic, and battery energy storage projects in France and internationally.
Your Responsibilities:
- Perform or supervise feasibility studies and preliminary cost estimates for electrical infrastructure and grid connection systems during the development phase.
- Carry out electrical engineering studies, including load flow analysis and the sizing of cables and electrical equipment.
- Coordinate and supervise electrical studies performed by other engineers.
- Provide technical support during the pre-construction phase, including the preparation of technical specifications and tender documents.
- Support the selection and follow-up of electrical contractors and service providers in France and internationally.
- Review and validate supplier designs while identifying technically and economically optimized solutions.
- Ensure the quality and compliance of electrical engineering studies.
- Investigate technical defects and resolve issues identified during the commissioning of electrical installations.
- Document lessons learned to continuously improve engineering methods and project quality.
- Share technical knowledge and experience with the Group’s subsidiaries and deliver internal training within your area of expertise.
What We’re Looking For:
Education: Master’s degree or Engineering degree with a specialization in Electrical Engineering and/or Automation and SCADA.
Experience: 5 to 10 years of experience with an electrical equipment manufacturer, installer or integrator working on HV or MV systems, within a renewable energy developer or contractor, or in an engineering consultancy.
Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of electrical equipment used in renewable energy plants, including wind turbines, PV and BESS inverters, HV and MV substations, circuit breakers, disconnectors, transformers, and associated components.
Electrical Studies: Experience in the sizing and design of high-voltage, medium-voltage, and low-voltage AC/DC networks and their electrical architectures.
Software: Knowledge of electrical network simulation software, particularly DIgSILENT PowerFactory, as well as proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.
Codes & Standards: Knowledge and practical application of French and international electrical standards, including NF C 13-200 and NF C 15-100.
Languages: Fluent written and spoken French and English.
