Internal Collaboration

  • In relation with colleagues from the Design Office (technical exchanges).
  • Exchanges with the managers of the production teams (problem solving‑continuous improvement, bug reporting and training).
  • In contact with the purchasing department (sourcing for prototypes) and logistics (difficulties and supply needs).
  • In relation to the quality and methods departments (technical support).
  • In relation with the training department/technical unit (training and bug reporting).

Externally

  • In contact with suppliers (technical assistance from the purchasing department).
  • In contact with subcontractors (Transmission of manufacturing files and adjustments according to their feedback).
  • In contact with certification bodies.
  • In contact with the other entities of the TIME group (technical exchanges).
  • In contact with the customers of the machines (development and identification of the need).

3. MAIN MISSIONS

  • Participate in the development of the technical specifications of the requirement.
  • Participate in the establishment of the schedule.
  • Participate in the establishment of the development plan: identify tasks, tests.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of products (machine) and components.
  • Comply with French, European and International directives and standards.
  • Organize design reviews, verify and validate the documents created.
  • Ensure supplies for the production of prototypes and/or pre-series in relation to the dedicated services.
  • Carry out complex feasibility studies and partially respond to calls for tenders.
  • Train internal and/or external users.

4. MAIN TASKS AND ACTIVITIES

  • Establish technical specifications to formalize the project while respecting the design rules.
  • Analyze the customer's request for feasibility studies.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Select and qualify components.
  • Ensure the regulatory compliance of the study (EN 280 Standard / Machine Directive, etc.).
  • Edit bills of materials and prepare an instruction document for production.
  • Ensure in production a follow‑up of the assembly and its adequacy with the specifications.
  • Assist production and/or the Quality Department as an expert in the resolution of problems related to manufacturing constraints.
  • Support internal and external machine start‑ups.
  • Ensure the adequacy of your study and the constraints related to the other sectors of the Standardization and Directive: technical assistance and choices with the services concerned.
  • Create and monitor design rules.
  • Carry out a technology watch.
  • Model the different sub‑assemblies of the machine so that they can be tested virtually before manufacturing.

5. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE EMPLOYEE

  • Ensure that solutions are offered to reduce subcontracting and manufacturing costs.
  • Adapting new technologies to existing products.
  • Ensure that the functional, physical, dimensional, structural and geometric constraints of the components are respected.
  • Ensure that project milestones are met.
  • Be responsible for the information entered in the databases.
  • Apply and comply with the instructions relating to the certifications acquired by the company.
  • Apply and comply with the QSE instructions (safety at the workstation, waste sorting, etc.) put in place in the company.
  • Report any dangerous situation to your line manager.

1- REQUIRED SKILLS

KNOWLEDGE (= Knowledge)

  • In-depth knowledge in a design office discipline.
  • Company Product Knowledge.
  • Project Management Competency.

KNOW-HOW (= put into practice)

Electrical/Electronics

  • Master the design tools of electronic board routing (2D and 3D).
  • Mastering Mathworks Tools – Simulink.
  • Proficiency in programming languages (C++ / Codesys...).
  • Master application lifecycle management tools (POLARION).
  • Master the tools of schematization.
  • Master field bus data transfer (especially CANopen).
  • Master the calculations of the functional safety of a system (SIL / Pl ...) via SISTEMA for example.
  • Knowing how to analyze and transcribe a system into logical function blocks.

Mechanical/Subframe

  • Proficiency in 2D or 3D CAD software (Solidworks / ZW CAD / eDrawing, etc.).
  • Master the calculation modules on Solidworks (finite elements).
  • Master the tools of schematization.

2- TRAINING / DIPLOMA / AUTHORISATIONS REQUIRED

  • Bac +5 and/or significant experience in the field.
