Job Description
The role is for an Economic Game Designer who will work on a high‑scale live mobile game, directly impacting the game economy, player experience, and business performance. The candidate will design and iterate on key systems such as progression, resources, offers, and events in a data‑driven Live Ops environment with fast, measurable iterations.
Why this role is exciting
You will join a small, agile team where your decisions have a tangible and immediate impact at scale. Your mission is to play a central role in the evolution and growth of Million Lords as an Economic Game Designer. This position is at the core of the game: you design, drive, and evolve all economic systems that shape the player experience and support the game’s live performance.
Your Role
- Design, prototype, and iterate on the game’s economy systems (currencies, sinks/sources, progression/experience, rewards) to drive long‑term player engagement and monetization.
- Define and maintain the balance between free and paid content to ensure a fair, compelling, and sustainable player experience.
- Analyze in‑game data and player behavior to evaluate the performance of the economy and business model, identify opportunities, and recommend actionable improvements.
- Collaborate closely with Game Designers to ensure the economy is fully aligned with core gameplay loops and player motivations.
- Work with Product, Live Ops, and Analytics teams to continuously optimize the economy through A/B testing and data‑driven decisions.
- Partner with Design, UI/UX and Engineering teams to make sure the implementation of features and economic systems properly exposes the information needed to engage the player and favor monetization.
Requirements
- Strong experience in game economy design (sources/sinks, currencies, progression balancing).
- Good mastery of F2P monetization mechanics (offers, pricing, pay‑to‑fast balance).
- Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (modeling, simulations).
- KPI‑driven mindset (ARPDAU, LTV, retention, conversion).
- Experience with Live Ops and economy iteration (events, tuning, feature optimization).
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams (design, data, product, engineering).
Nice to Have
- Experience working on high‑scale games (more than 10,000 daily active users).
- Knowledge of SQL (data extraction and analysis).
- Experience with A/B testing and experimentation methods.
Perks

- Flexible working hours with the option of a 4.5‑day week.
- Opportunity to become a shareholder of the company.
And Of Course
- Lunch card: 8/day, 50% covered by the company.
