THE ROLE
The main activities of the role are outlined below; however, these are not exhaustive, and the employee may be required to perform additional duties consistent with the nature and scope of the position.
- Oversee daily shop presentation, Visual Merchandising updates and seasonal merchandising; regularly collaborate with Thom Browne teams ensuring merchandise is properly filled, spaces are regularly refreshed, and Brand Presentation Guide standards are strictly adhered.
- Visit corners at wholesale partners weekly; provide product and brand knowledge while maintaining close relationships with Thom Browne store associates. Manage, train, and motivate TB sales staff in making sure weekly, monthly, and seasonal sales goals are met, building and maintaining an active clientele book.
- Ensure that corner coverage and staffing presence are consistently aligned with business needs and brand standards. Actively participate on the floor to guarantee that service levels meet Thom Browne expectations, ensuring a high-quality, consistent client experience across all wholesale partner locations.
- Actively maintain Brand expertise in terms of product, brand history, marketing strategy, events and projects, key trends, selling points and featured seasonal products.
- Actively contributing to the growth of the local end-consumer database, supporting client acquisition and long-term relationship building.
- Manage and report on back stock to make sure floor is filled in and stock room is in order; Communicate regularly with wholesale team regarding maintaining stock levels, noting any stock callouts, and selling opportunities based on customer feedback.
- Work closely with Wholesale & Visual Merchandising to maintain furniture stock, pop ups and activations.
- If requested, Oversee the showroom/atelier leading clients' appointments as well as supporting operations.
- Analyze, compile, and submit weekly reporting to corporate teams.
- In necessary, Travel to Milan market to help assist with store selection. Prepare for markets with historic selling reports and other information to direct the selection.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a luxury retail and/or wholesale environment. A comprehensive understanding of both retail and wholesale dynamics is a must.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to coach sales staff.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the areas of client relationship management, inventory processing, retail reporting, visual merchandising.
- Passionate representative of the Thom Browne world.
- Highly organized and self-motivated; excellent time management.
- Confident, professional, and comfortable working autonomously.
- Clear yet diplomatic communication, both written and verbal.
- Ability to travel locally.
