Job Description Summary
This position is for GT/GEN/ST Doc Structuring Doc PBOM leader within Gas Power’s Engineering tool set related to the definition of maxcase deliverable list needed to cover project execution in partnership with related stakeholders (GT/GEN/ST Product Lines), the request for timing for receipt & the internal approval of technical documentation for outsourced designs, the definition of storage structure within our PLM, the documentation codification and mapping over the different integrated collaboration tools, and the development of next gen solutions for documentation management in collaboration with CM Pillar Engineering Tools team.

En collaboration avec les parties prenantes concernées, il est le garant de la définition des dates de besoin de collecte de la documentation en interne et auprès de nos fournisseurs, du process d’approbation interne de la documentation technique pour les conceptions externalisées, de la définition de la structure de stockage au sein de notre PLM, de la taxonomie de la documentation dans les différents outils de collaboration intégrés, et du développement des outils de gestion de la documentation en collaboration avec l'équipe CMPD Pillar Engineering Tools (PET).
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
This position for the Leader – Technical Documentation Configuration Management will be responsible for:
- Transforming project requirements and project Division of Responsibility (DoR) with partners, into applicable Model List Items (MLI) for maxcase documentation needs through the Customer Drawing Handbook (CDH). This documentation consists of both customer documentation developed internally and that provided by suppliers. Internal documentation needs from suppliers may include interface management needs, e.g. between engineering disciplines, or documentation related to the serviceability of the equipment (e.g. Operation & Maintenance Manuals).
- Maintaining a digitized master record of the type of documentation required per MLI, on a max case basis within the lines of a product’s current ATQ. Actively partnering with MLI owners across disciplines to balance documentation true need to afford less data processing and optimizing material cost (e.g. PO value).
- Doc Marketing Features governance to insure proper customers/partners documents requirements flow down to Engineering teams and suppliers. ITO team support for Document requirements quosting.
- Establishing routines and tools to be capable to establish due dates for each document, both internally (Engineering & PDE) as well as externally (Suppliers).
- Providing for digitized due date transformation into Engineering (P6 – Primavera) schedule templates and Supplier Technical Collaboration (STC) standard target dates.
- Developing processes to maintain master data for the system(s) under their control thru New Product Introduction (NPI), Non-Conformance resolution, Cost Out, Pivot to Value and other influences of design change.
- Establish measurement criteria for the process (KPIs) that aligns with how the process serves the organization. Align with the value proposition and establish daily management that support process execution excellence and KPI alignment.
- Authoring, or facilitating the authoring of, technical requirements for documentation towards Suppliers.
- Being the functional owner of the GT/GEN/ST Technical Documentation Management across the GE Gas Power business. This responsibility includes engaging appropriate GE functions/teams/organizations towards continuous improvement and Lean activities, leads the harmonization of processes and leveraging of best practices across all Gas Power product lines to the greatest extent possible.
- Providing support to problem solving across the documentation management process lifecycle & technical consultation (in processes and tools) to cross-functional teams throughout the business to improve or resolve issues & providing technical guidance, direction and training to new and experienced engineers, specialists, technicians, and co-ops.
- Defining and leading Kaizen events, conducting Gemba, developing Standard Work, creating, and maintaining quality documents, procedures, and work instructions.
- Establishing requirements for IT tools development and enhancement to Digital Engineering organizations and helping drive implementation when appropriate.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following additional tasks:
- Owning transition plans and processes related to Supplier Design Exchange (SDE) movement to STC as part of the Project Tool Suite (PTS) sunset.
- Support CM Document governance owner in reviewing Teamcenter PLM process map & requirements, defining technical specifications and use cases, supporting testing, validation and training of Engineering community.
- Supporting discussions, transition plans and Doc processes roll‑out related to Services (CMU), Aeroderivative & BOP Products execution movement to a harmonized document management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Computer Science.
- 5 years’ experience in engineering design and definition of power plant equipment (accessory systems).
- Experience in process use and development with regards to documentation requirements, compliance requirements and quality management system definition as they relate to Gas Power products and services.
- Experience implementing new processes and leading them through the development, debate, training and roll out of the same.
