Director Technology Solutions - Contract Manufacturing Organization
Build and lead a high‑performing global contract manufacturing organization to deliver quality, supply continuity, and operational excellence across Technology Solutions.
The position should ideally be located in Netanya, Israel, Vitré, France, or Boxmeer, Netherlands.
Purpose of the role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director for our Technology Solutions Contract Manufacturing Organization (TS CMO) to build and manage a new team responsible for overseeing and optimizing the production of our electronic products through third‑party manufacturers. This role will manage a global network of multidisciplinary CMOs with electronic, plastic, and metal manufacturing capabilities across multiple locations. The scope of responsibility includes both full turnkey products and subassemblies.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Global Monitoring Manufacturing in Technology Solutions, this role is critical to ensuring product supply, quality, cost efficiency, timely delivery, and compliance with industry standards.
This position will be responsible for building strategic partnerships with the company’s supply sites and the manufacturing leadership team. Through these relationships, this role will manage the supply of strategic products to optimize the flow of materials, working capital, and contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and direct an industry‑leading team of operations managers to manage supply, compliance, and cost for externally produced TS products from the CMOs (electronics and identification products)
- Lead and manage all aspects of external manufacturing operations for electronic and identification products, including supplier selection, qualification, and performance management
- Develop and manage a risk management process; continuously assess and mitigate supply and compliance risks, including capacity planning, supply chain disruptions, and quality issues
- Exhibit a high level of financial compliance and financial stewardship
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with contract manufacturers and suppliers to ensure alignment with company goals and quality standards
- Collaborate closely with product development, quality, internal operations, supply chain, and logistics teams to ensure seamless product transitions from design to mass production. Lead the operational strategy of new products, whether in‑house or through a CMO, in a full‑turnkey model.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain Management, upstream and downstream sites to optimize product flow
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes, reduce costs, reduce discards, and improve product quality and delivery timelines. Build and manage CMO KPIs, and lead the Quarterly Business Review (QBR) with CMOs
- Be accountable for all aspects of third‑party risk – including, but not limited to, EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety), bribery/corruption, labour
- Monitor and enforce compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies across all external manufacturing sites
- Participate in negotiations on contracts, pricing, and service level agreements with external manufacturers, in mutual collaboration with the global supplier management team
- Prepare and present regular reports on manufacturing performance, risks, and opportunities to senior management
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in electronic product manufacturing
Your profile
- Electronic or mechanical engineering background in the high‑tech industry, with experience in multidisciplinary products, software, and hardware
- Strengths in building strong relationships and managing cross‑functional teams
- Must have exemplary people/team leadership experience, including leading and motivating teams, establishing performance metrics, and holding people accountable for results
- Minimum 7‑10 years of experience in manufacturing management, with at least 3‑5 years focused on global external/contract manufacturing in the high‑tech industry and electronic assembly
- Proven background in the New Product Introduction (NPI) process in the high‑tech industry, and transferring production between sites and CMOs
- Knowledge of electronic manufacturing processes, including PCB assembly, component sourcing, testing, and quality control
- In‑depth expertise in manufacturing, technical operations, quality, and/or supply chain is a plus
- Proven track record in managing supplier relationships and driving operational excellence in a global manufacturing environment
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills
- Lean manufacturing and scientific problem‑solving skills
- Experience with quality standards such as IPC, ISO 9001, and industry‑specific certifications
- Ability to analyze complex data and make strategic decisions
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics, manufacturing engineering, supply chain management, or related field. Advanced degree preferred
- Willingness to travel internationally as required
