Director, Supply Chain
Role Summary
The position is responsible for defining and executing the company’s global supply chain strategies covering ancillary components (e.g., Instrumentation, Electronics, Fittings, Controls, C‑Items, Sealing & Wear Components) for Flowserve. The role will champion operational excellence by driving initiatives to out‑perform outlined business objectives and requirements. This category has an annual spend of approximately $250 million.
This position will work closely with key business stakeholders to develop effective cost‑reduction strategies and implementation plans. The ideal candidate must be able to build and maintain highly effective relationships internally and externally, have a passion for results, a drive for success, and a high business acumen.

Your Role
- Provide leadership and strategic direction of ‘Ancillary Equipment’ categories team to meet organization objectives.
- Responsible for $250M of spend globally; manage supply‑chain resources to address and resolve platform‑critical issues.
- Ensure robust and timely cross‑functional communication and collaboration on all key accountabilities and objectives.
- Unify supplier selection process to secure quality, delivery, reliability, spend leverage, and control; clear scope of work focused on proactive supplier risk assessment.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to source best‑in‑class suppliers.
- Leverage design capacity to promote development and standardization of processes and procedures.
- Develop short‑ and long‑term vision and strategic plans; evaluate new technologies for the team to develop and innovate competitive products.
- Maintain an active role in developing and defining sourcing roadmaps to anticipate, apply, adapt, or develop technologies for product introduction, quality, and performance criteria to meet current and future demands.
- Accelerate cost‑reduction initiatives with an integrated strategy; establish and manage master supplier agreements (MSA).
- Drive, coordinate, and implement via category leads and cross‑functional teams sourcing strategies for assigned categories with global/regional and site alignment.
- Lead and manage category initiatives via cross‑functional teams (product management, engineering/quality/site supply‑chain leads).
- Develop an optimized supply base based on strategic importance, procurement value, risk‑dependency aspects, and performance levels.
- Participate and intensify key supplier relationships using strategic alliance models.
- Lead global negotiations and manage business reviews/supply agreements with key suppliers with the help of category leads and cross‑functional supply‑chain teams.
- Execute additional tasks as needed.

Your Profile
- BS or BA degree in a relevant field and 10+ years of relevant experience.
- CSCP or other strategic supply‑chain certification.
- Relevant work experience in supply chain at a global or regional level.
- Experience with ancillary components.
- Experience leading a regional team.
- Proven track record of successfully working with multi‑site, matrixed organizations, and leading cross‑functional teams to develop and implement supply‑chain strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and interpret mechanical prints and files.
- Demonstrated knowledge of contract terms and conditions and supply‑chain best practices.
- Travel required 30‑40%.
